It's appreciated, Sebastian; I wasn't trying to discourage your efforts,
I just wanted to suggest some improvements and point out some potential
side-effects to watch out for.

That's not the long-term solution either, since that just discards
high-scoring items without adjusting Maia's statistical counters.  The
solution coming in Maia 1.1.0 this fall will be much more flexible than
that, allowing you not just to delete high-scoring items, but to
optionally auto-confirm them for Bayes training and (limited) spam
reporting, so they're not just thrown away.
