I finally ran a system update on my SuSE 10 box. Up to now, Maia had been
running flawlessly. Now when using the Maia Web interface to open an email
an error is generated:
"Can't open key file /var/spool/amavis/blowfish.key"
Maia version 1.0.1.
Permissions on the encryption key file:
-rw-r--r-- 1 vscan vscan 56 2006-11-01 17:00
/var/spool/amavis/blowfish.key
Amavisd is running as user vscan
# ps aux | grep vscan
vscan 5474 0.0 2.1 50764 44996 ? Ss Jun06 0:07 amavisd (master)
vscan 5626 0.2 2.6 75656 55648 ? Ss Jul02 6:01 /usr/sbin/clamd
vscan 5639 0.0 0.0 4920 1464 ? Ss Jul02 0:00 /usr/bin/freshclam-d
vscan 25548 0.1 2.3 54132 47848 ? S 14:10 0:01 amavisd (ch4-avail)
vscan 25610 0.1 2.2 53464 47276 ? S 14:12 0:00 amavisd (ch3-avail)
and Apache is in the vscan group
www:/etc # grep vscan group
vscan:!:108:wwwrun[[BR]]
www:/etc # ps aux | grep wwwrun
wwwrun 29289 0.0 1.0 72424 20752 <snip> usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork
wwwrun 2454 0.0 0.9 70912 18776 <snip>/usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork
Has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts of were to look for clues?
Thanks,
Laszlo
