What kind of authentication mechanisms do you use? (Internal, mysql, 
pop3/imap4,ldap etc..)
If you're using internal, have you completed the internal-init.php (or 
whatever the file is called) phase?

How about configtest.(php|pl) ? Is it reporting Ok ?
