We have packages for ubuntu. They are only for use for our clients at 
present (private repo) but I can check out and see if the source tarball 
might be made available to you, or even debs. we have targetted dapper 
mostly, apt-get install maia-mailguard works pretty well - some post 
configuration etc

If there is big community demand I am also happy to consider wider 
publishing of our packages...
