[Maia-users] linking email addresses to aliases

Looks like my Maia is doing a good job after its first weekend. So
thanks for your help.
 
I was wondering if there was a way to script the linking of email
adresses to aliases. Since we changed our domain name a while ago,
everyone here has two email addresses (but one account). clarington.net
is the main account, but we're still collecting the old
municipality.clarington.on.ca as well. So I want to link the
municipality.clarington.on.ca address to the clarington.net account for
each user, and I don't want to do it manually because there's a lot of
them. 
 
I know PHP and MySQL pretty well so if I knew what queries to run I
could probably script this myself. I guess I just need to know what
happens when you click that "Link E-mail Address/Alias" button.
