In my experience, once you start doing anything meaningful in terms of manual
postfix config tweaking, suseconfig is going to back off and leave you to it -
which really isn't so bad, we run mailguard exclusively on suse servers, and
have at least 8 data centers so configured. Even though suseconfig won't touch
the tweaked config, postfix itself will tell you in fairly clear terms if
there is a problem with it. It's not caused us any difficulty.
