You don't need amavisd-new--uninstall it to avoid conflicts with
amavisd-maia.  Likewise, you should not be using milters with Maia--the
dual-sendmail arrangement is required in order to properly handle
quarantine releases (which need an MTA instance downstream from
amavisd-maia in order to avoid mail loops).
