As far as I can tell, it has not successfully processed even one message since I started upgrading packages yesterday to get ready for the upgrade - here's where I've gotten so far:
1. I shurdown postfix and Maia on that server.
2. I copied the maia.conf file over to the /etc directory and set it up so that I could run the configtest.pl script.
3. I ran the script and found the packages that needed upgrading.
4. I spent a lot of time futzing with various packages - the ones that were difficult were BerkeleyDB and File - but I finally got those upgraded.
5. amavisd is still 1.0.0. RC5, and nothing has been modified yet on the PHP side.
6. Obviously the mysql database "works" because the other server is using it happily. I feel like something has just gone terribly wonky during my attempts to get the packages upgraded so that 1.0.1 could be installed. :(

Yes, I can log in as the maia user with no trouble, issue a Select command, etc. However, I have no idea how to turn on the connection log in mysql! What do I need to add to the my.cnf for that?
Thanks.
