Server is 4.0.18.32.23 - client is 4.0.18.32.1 - I don't believe though that this changed yesterday is t but I'm happy to try to get the client up to that version as well.

My guess is that this is not the issue, as the other server has no issues with timeouts, and as I mentioned in another message, I get more than 100 messages a minute on that server at times. I need to increase the logging on mysql though - all I get in the log right now is that the server started up :)
