Dee & Rob's Klee Kai Kam

Now that the puppies are expertly mobile, the Kam just isn't working anymore except for quick glimpses. Instead, you'll have to rely on the static pictures we have uploaded. The latest pictures of Sikari are:

UPDATE (August 3rd, 6:20am): Maia gave birth to the first 10-oz puppy of the litter (a female code-named "Uno")!

UPDATE (August 3rd, 7:45am): Pup Number Two (a male code-named "Dos") has arrived, also at 10 ounces!

UPDATE (August 3rd, 4:30pm): X-rays confirm there are no more puppies enroute, and Maia has passed the placenta without any complications. So the grand total is two large puppies for Maia & Zorro!

UPDATE (August 4th, 4:00pm): The pups have individual Web pages now, complete with close-up photos! Check out Sikari's Page and Dos's Page. No cracks about blurry pics, please--the lack of a macro lens for close-ups, and the need to snap pictures while fending off an anxious Maia and a curious Zorro makes this a delicate maneuver!

UPDATE (August 7th, 4:00pm): Okay, it's official--we're idiots. Both Uno and Dos are girls! Back to remedial sex-ed for us...

UPDATE (August 14th, 4:00pm): Their eyes have opened! We won't be able to determine their permanent eye colour for a while yet, but they can now see our scary mugs at least :)

UPDATE (August 19th, 3:00pm): The little critters have finally outgrown our kitchen scale, or at least the weighing bowl, and now that they're practically walking the weighing business is getting tricky, so weighings will be done just once a week from now on.

UPDATE (August 23rd, 11:00pm): Uno has a name! The "canine formerly known as Uno" is now Sikari, to be officially registered as Pissikartok, which is the Inuit word for "singer". If you were here, you'd understand, trust me.

UPDATE (August 25th, 4:00pm): Dos, our little adventurer, finally ventured out of the whelping box to explore the great wide world, so we've accommodated her by creating a larger penned area, as you'll see in the pics below.

UPDATE (September 18th, 2002): We had a guest for a week so we took a bit of a break from maintaining the page, but we're back, the webcam's going again, the puppies' pages are updated again (Sikari's page and Piyomi's page). You won't recognize Piyomi now if you've been following along! She got her mask in. 

UPDATE (October 28th, 2002): It's time for a new update on our little girls. They're about 12 weeks old now, both in great shape, and we've added some new pictures for your enjoyment.
